wow---Google's launched their Video Search under the radar, indexing closed captioning data with accompanying screenshots. Clicking through to a result yields snippets of text from the show with a few images of the specific screenshot. The ability to watch the actual video is not available.....yet. Man oh man, that will be cool to be able to actually watch the video. Google hints at this future feature in their faq: "Can I play the videos that Google Video finds? Not yet, but stay tuned..." What a great concept. Excited to see where this will go.
Went up to Whistler this last weekend with Matt and saw the worst skiing conditions I'd ever seen up there. Instead of a trail, I saw a road. Instead of snow, there were puddles of rain. Food was offered at a 50% discount at the lodges up top and lift ticket rates were slashed in order to get people up. They were even offering free group lessons! Still had a fun time though...
Matt's birthday was yesterday--Happy Birthday!
